2008 Interior Design Show (February 21 - 24, 2008)

February 21 to 24, 2008 marked the 10th anniversary of the Interior Design Show (IDS), a popular and exciting Toronto-based event of which PARA has been a proud sponsor since its inception.

IDS is Canada’s premiere platform for contemporary residential design. In 10 years, millions of the newest and most exciting Canadian and international furnishings, fixtures and accessories for the design of a home have been launched and exhibited by hundreds of designers, manufacturers, importers, retailers, and distributors.

As part of our participation, PARA sponsored the Design Talks events on Saturday and Sunday. As well, we provided all the paint for the concept spaces that were presented by this year’s featured designers – a highlight of this year’s event.

Some of this year’s highlights included: 10 Innovative Canadian Designers - a display featuring new and seminal works some of Canada's top designers; KidZone - a showcase of the best in modern designed furniture and accessories for kids and their style-conscious parents; and Prototype - a juried exhibit in which independent design studios were invited to submit new ideas in furniture, lighting, textiles and accessories for the home.

Since the show’s inception, over half a million design professionals, discriminating consumers and members of the media have attended the IDS in search of new products, ideas and inspiration.
