2009 Interior Design Show (February 5 - 8, 2009)

February 5 to 8, 2009 marked the 11th year that the Interior Design Show (IDS) has been running, a popular and exciting Toronto-based event of which PARA has been a proud sponsor since its inception.

IDS is Canada’s premiere platform for contemporary residential design. In 11 years, millions of the newest and most exciting Canadian and international furnishings, fixtures and accessories for the design of a home have been launched and exhibited by hundreds of designers, manufacturers, importers, retailers, and distributors.

As part of our participation, PARA sponsored the Design Talks events on Saturday and Sunday as well as presenting two colour seminars on Fashion Within the Home. As a sponsor PARA also provided all the paint for the 5x5 design spaces. 5 Designers. 5 Inspired Spaces. Other highlights from this years show included: Collaborations- Finding out how green materials inspire design; Crystal Clear which featured Crystallized- Swarovski Elements and STRASS Swarovski Crystals; Studio North which showcased the best of Canadian design ingenuity; DESIGNGENNEXT which sampled industrial designs from six of Canada's most esteemed design schools and Prototype which presented furniture, lighting and accessories that are not yet in production or that are limited production.

Since the show’s inception, over half a million design professionals, discriminating consumers and members of the media have attended the IDS in search of new products, ideas and inspiration.
